Water Softeners and Water Conditioners
HARD WATER IS A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR ANNUAL PROBLEM
The most common elements in water that cause hardness are calcium, magnesium and iron. You may see staining on your sinks, tubs, showers, and clothing. You may also notice less lather from shampoos, soaps and even a feeling of a film on the skin and hair. Hard water also causes a higher risk of lime scale deposits on plumbing fixtures, inside pipes and water heating devices. The negative effect of lime scale buildup is potentially blocked pipes and the reduced efficiency of hot boilers and tanks, which increases the cost of domestic water heating by about fifteen to twenty percent. In a profound statement, the severe negative health impact of hard water can not be overlooked...
"Hardness in water is actually a public enemy for it is the underlying cause of many, if not all, the diseases resulting from poisons in the intestinal tract..." Dr. Charles Mayo, Mayo Clinic
